My Ikea MARKUS office chair kept sinking down because the gas ram has partially failed.. instead of sticking slit PVC pipe over the ram to keep the chair up I thought, FJITPI and voila. Clips right on, keeps itself there, keeps the chair at max height. Just scale the height down if you want a lower chair..
