This is a remix of a remix of an original. I'm not sure of the size of the spools chertle was using in his make https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2873244 but mine are bigger (approx 20cm diameter & 7cm wide, 1Kg) so I could only fit four spools in the 22l box. As I am wanting this box to complement the Prusa MMU2.0, it accommodates up to 5 spools so I had to adjust this design for the next size up, the 45l. The bearing holders are also suited to 608ZZ bearings & due to the additional length of the rods, the holders are now used as supports to hold the spools up. If you have thinner spools & you can fit an extra sixth spool in the box, adjust accordingly. The teflon tube holder I also had to modify slightly. It was made for a 4mm tube but the teflon tube I had was slight smaller at 3.85mm. I reduced the hole size so the teflon has a very tight fit & won't fall out. The printed pieces were hot glued to the box to avoid movement. Optional: Finish off with some foam seal tape, clips & two 500g bags of silica gel or other moisture absorber. Items required: 1x IKEA Samla 45l box with lid 2x 8mm (M8) metal rods, threaded or not, doesn't matter, length 495 mm 2x stand-l-8-short-wide.stl 2x stand-r-8-short-wide.stl 8x 608_bearing_holder_double_tall.stl 4x 608_bearing_holder_single_tall.stl 5x teflon_tube_3.84mm.stl filled with teflon (PTFE) pieces 20x 608ZZ ball bearings 8 x 22 x 7mm 5x Push in teflon hose fittings with hosing UPDATE: I started having issues with the filament snagging on the teflon tube piece. It felt like there was some resistance, especially when filament was being pulled on an angle by the extruder. I ended up scaling down the washer piece from dross123's thing https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2636309 so it would fit a standard M6 teflon hose fitting. A standard M6 metal nut was then used on the inside to hold everything in place. Printed plastic nuts would also suffice if you don't have any metal ones. I also changed the teflon tubing to 4mm OD, 3mm ID as opposed to 2mm ID to give the filament a little more freedom.
