IKEA Tradfri Wireless Dimmer Backplate

This is a holder for the IKEA Tradfri Wireless Dimmer switch. The idea is that you slot the metal backplate from the switch into the recess and hold it in with a couple of small screws. Then you pop the dimmer switch on top and it will go into a standard UK wall switch to replace the old dumb switch. You will need to wire through the old wires so that your bulb is live all the time. Unless you feel comfortable working with mains, get an electrician to do it for you. The bar at the back that you attach your metal plate to now has 2 1mm holes to aid lining everything up. I've used white PETG as that seems to give the best finish. I then sanded it back and applied a clear coat lacquer which I then sanded back again to make it a bit more matte.
