IKEA UTBY kitchen leg extender/spacer

IKEA UTBY kitchen leg extender/spacer

I bought an **IKEA UTBY** box-profile steel leg as part of my workshop upgrade but it is infuriatingly shorter than the **IKEA** kitchen drawer units that I bought to go under my **IKEA** worktops. You'd think all the **IKEA** products would work together, but sadly not. Next, I bought a bag of **M8 x 80mm adjustable feet** from Amazon (https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08P3SVSMV/) to extend the leg, but the small box-section sleeve that hides the supplied foot is only 60mm tall, and with the new, longer foot the sleeve slipped off the bottom of the leg! This printed spacer sits over the foot to raise the sleeve up by 10mm - just enough to ensure it still grips the bottom of the leg but minimising the amount of plastic on show. I designed the spacer in two parts so that the inner part could be printed inverted without overhangs or support. The parts pop straight off the bed and fit together snugly with no fettling. The printed part is not load-bearing (all the weight is taken by the adjustable foot) but if you are likely to kick the leg or smash things into it then you could increase the infill to make it a little more kid-proof.
