These are two LEGO compatible blocks. One allows to host a standard 5mm LED plus has holes for cabling and the other block allows to host a standard 4x12mm switch. This implementation uses two 1.2V batteries and required 10 Ohm resistors for the red and yellow LED. The blue LED used in this example would actually benefit from a 3V power supply. However, you will need to check the specs of LEDs you are implementing.
