28mm heroic scale IFV for W:40K. Model details This pack contains 2 variations of a basic "setback" design, the "Chimera" variant and the "Warrior" variant. The variants are mostly identical, with the only differences being the rear door and the replacement of the rear firing ports with stowage bins. Seperate track files are required for the warrior variant - slightly modified to avoid parts clipping. Modularity and magnets The model has been designed from the beginning to be as modular as possible. Slots have been placed to allow for the hull-mounted weapon, the turret weapon, searchlight (open and closed versions), auger array, hunter-killer missile, pintle/RWS weapons, and dozer blade to be attached to the hull/turret with 2mm*1mm rare earth magnets. Applique, spaced, and bar additional armour is a push-fit part that can be added or removed as needed, no magnets required. All turret options can be mirrored for use on the opposite side as required. The pics show an open and closed turret hatch, both are provided, but these are a part of the actual turret and need to be printed as such. It is not intended that they can be swapped out like the modular parts. Files For ease of organisation, files are contained within zipped files. If a part has a variant name (Chimera or Warrior) then it is variant specific, if not, then it is a universal part. There is a separate file for the additional armour. The 3 files for this are all for the left track. Just mirror them in your slicer for the opposite side version. Compatability The turret ring is intended (and has been tested) to be compatible with the original GW turret. It should also be compatible with any other designers turrets as long as theirs is also intended to be GW compatible. Supported/unsupported files All files are sold as unsupported. Honestly, my support skills are garbage. You'll notice in some of the pics (uploading soon once finished painting, or at least undercoating) that parts have warped, this is not the fault of the design but because I didn't support them properly when printing. That being said, if you really want pre supported versions then please PM me after purchasing the pack. I will happily provide them to you on the condition that you understand that I have said up front that my supports are not great and that I cannot be held responsible for sup part prints related to this! Custom requests Like the model but don't want as many rivets? Have a different type of weapon that you would like to see included? Want some specific details added to the model? Feel free to PM me. The design itself is highly modular and it is very easy for me to remove individual parts - there are literally hundreds of individual rivets that can each be toggled on or off as needed for example. If you have a large printer and would prefer to be provided with a complete file for the tracks already attached to the body this would be incredibly easy and only take a few seconds. I am happy to design small custom parts for the model and provide them free of charge. If your request is for something a bit larger than that then please ask about it anyway. I may be happy to do it just to try out some new design tools. Support offered All parts have been test printed before being added for download. If you run into any problems I will happily do all I can to assist you. Future (separate) projects I am planning to release another design in the next month or so for a command version of this. The turret and top deck will be setback even further to the rear of the model. It will also be made in "Chimera" and "Warrior" versions. I hope to release this in a month or so. I am also currently working on a design based on the Ajax (tracked) and Boxer (wheeled) real-world vehicles. These will be ridiculously customisable and I expect to have a total of 14 variants of these!
