Still a work in progress to resize to my needs, but it is a fully functioning display cradle for model boats using 'Tensegrity' (I believe the term is).

Made up of

A base, 4 x support arms, boat support tops A & B. Plus a sling if required. Also needed superglue and I was given some 15lb strain fishing (over kill on the fishing line but free.)

Top parts A & B will need glueing together. Once dry I glued the arms into position.

The first of the fishing line was attached between the arms, I found that a couple of knots in the end of the twine and some gentle force I could pull the knot into the hole. it was a snug fit, then a little glue in the hole and it seems to hold fine. This has made it a little tidier also. The other end I had to tie off in a normal fashion. dab of superglue to be sure.

After which I did the same with the Top support, I found that rather than trying to do all four at once, I did the same with pulling knots partially through the hole glueing then once set passing the twine through the base and tying together. A dap of superglue on the knot.

If you look closely you can see the twine is passed down the outside. All efforts have been made to keep it as clean as possible, but will probably look to paint over to hide the superglue clouding.

I have made a .5mm thick 4mm wide sling as obviously different hulls are different dimensions and the sling helps account for all variants.
