Improved All-In-One Temperature and Bridging Tower -- High to Low Temps (Mk3S and Mini) PLA/PETG/ABS/TPU

prusaprinters

Remix of Tronnic's bridging tower, with the temperatures from highest on the bottom to lowest on the top. This way, you shouldn't experience clogging issues if the lowest temperature is not enough to properly melt the filament.

The filament type is also now shown on the base.

Print instructions

Models for PLA and PETG included. The G-Code files were generated with PrusaSlicer and contain temperature changes at the appropriate layers.

UPDATE 3/22/22:

Temp towers for TPU added.

UPDATE 9/21/21:

Temp towers for ABS/ASA added. The GCODE is for ABS. For ASA, please use the 3MF file for ABS, select Prusament ASA from the Filament Settings dropdown, and reslice. The tower will still say “ABS” but the temperature ranges are appropriate for ASA.

UPDATE 8/12/21:

There's been frequent requests for a version that is smaller. While I totally appreciate it, I don't have the inclination to maintain another set of 3mf and gcode files for all the different printer and filament combinations. However, if you're interested in creating your own version:

Grab the 3mf file you're interested in and load it into Prusa Slicer.

Make sure PrusaSlicer is in Expert mode (which you can choose in the upper right corner)

Change Scale Factors to 50%

Go to the Printer Settings Tab.

Go to the Custom G-code section

Paste this into the "Before layer change G-code" field:

G92 E0.0

{if layer_num==4}M104 S220{endif} ; Layer 1

{if layer_num==28}M104 S215{endif} ; Layer 2

{if layer_num==54}M104 S210{endif} ; Layer 3

{if layer_num==79}M104 S205{endif} ; Layer 4

{if layer_num==102}M104 S200{endif} ; Layer 5

{if layer_num==129}M104 S195{endif} ; Layer 6

{if layer_num==153}M104 S190{endif} ; Layer 7

{if layer_num==179}M104 S185{endif} ; Layer 8

{if layer_num==203}M104 S180{endif} ; Layer 9

;[layer_z]

These layer numbers are based on a 50% scaled model and 0.2mm layer height.

A 50% sliced model should be fine but you'll see some artifacts, such as the filament type not printing properly on the base. To fix it, I'd have to redesign the model, which is not going to happen any time soon.

UPDATE 2/3/21:
Messed up the profiles for the 0.6mm nozzles in PETG. Should be fixed now.

UPDATE 12/27/20:

There was an interest in models for printers with 0.6 mm nozzles, so I added those .3mf and .gcode files. I also added files for the Prusa Mini.

If you like what I'm doing…

…consider buying me a coffee.
