Improved Cetus Filament Extruder

Improved Cetus Filament Extruder

thingiverse

This is an improved extruder design for the Cetus 3D printer. I am using it on a Cetus MkII. I was tired of the times when the printer stopped extruding and caused failed prints. With this design you can see the entire filament path from the filament spool all the way to the entry into the nozzle. If necessary the pressure on the filament/gear can be adjusted to ensure extrusion. To install this modification I used extra holes drilled on the extrusion motor from the factory. I assume all Cetus printers come with these extra holes. I used a spring, screws and grooved bearing from a kit purchased on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DDGGN92/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I also used an aluminum pivot bushing from the kit, but I include an .stl file for the part if you would like to try a printed one. Please read the attached .htm document for installation instructions.
