Improved Quadcopter Motormounts A and B

Improved Quadcopter Motormounts A and B

thingiverse

After a buddy of mine had a few accidents with indoor Quadcopter flights we ran out of all of our spare motor mounts, so we started printing them off of thingiverse. We found that the bolt holes on the parts weren't a perfect match for the originals so decided to design our own. Included are both A and B parts along with the original .SLDPRT files in case you have access to Solidworks or a higher-end 3D printer. Instructions We added screw and motor recesses on both sides which means you should print with care. If you are using a MakerBot or something without support material, I would recommend putting the motor recess face down as this is very easy to ream out by hand with a drill bit. Also note, we played around with the screw hole diameters until we had something that printed out ok. If you have a very hi-resolution machine (like a ZDimension printer) they may be about 0.5mm oversized.
