Improved Replacement for Reading Lamp Shade

There are now a wide variety of affordable floor lamps available on the market, some of which come equipped with both an upward-pointing main light and a downward-pointing reading light. However, many of these plastic shades can't withstand the heat trapped in the downward-pointing reading light, leading to their rapid disintegration. My upgraded replacement closely replicates the shape of the original shade but incorporates essential design changes that allow for heat dissipation through strategically placed vent holes, as evident from the accompanying photos. I am confident that this revised shade will prove effective, and replacing the original with an identical one would likely be futile.
