Improved Velleman K8200 Y Axis Part
thingiverse
When you tighten the screws on the Y-Carriage bearings holder of the K8200, along with the 3D-Rag, this causes a slight change in the angle of the linear bearings, leading to an increase in movement tension. To enhance it, I designed a simple part using FreeCAD. Now, the Y-Movement has become significantly smoother and noisier. Since the X/Y size is perfectly matched, bed leveling adjustments can still be made as needed. I've also made this custom piece roughly 1 mm taller to accommodate the end switch's upper limit. In addition, a protective cover will be placed over the switch soon, necessitating extra clearance. The FreeCAD file provided can be used to create a lower-positioned heatbed model:). Edit: A version lowered by 4 mm is also available (denoted by the 'Low' suffix).
