Improved WiFi Mousetrap

Improved WiFi Mousetrap

This design has seen significant improvements over my previous attempt (the rodents seem to have a preference for these traps). I've found the traps used here, available at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q3M6QYK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. For micro switches, visit https://www.amazon.com/URBESTAC-Momentary-Hinge-Roller-Switches/dp/B00MFRMFS6/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=micro+switch&qid=1582238147&sr=8-3. Given my use of an A123 18650 battery, a regulator is not required. I'm using an ESP-01, with a micro switch wired in the normally closed configuration (held open). When the trap is sprung, the battery is connected, starting the ESP and initiating the code run. The ESP then transitions into deep sleep mode. The code is remarkably straightforward - simply enter your IFTTT account, trigger your applet, and send a notification or email with details of which trap was triggered. If you choose to build one of these, please let me know how it turns out!
