In-car trash bag holder

A simple trash bag holder for your car. This is version three. The previous versions had problems keeping the bag in place. This one has a snap mechanism that gives it a tighter tolerance. It also comes in two variants, one is kept at a 90° angle from the wall and the other being able to fold down. Default dimensions are ~147x104x18 mm. UPDATE 2017-07-21: Replaced models with higher resolution versions. Gives a smoother appearence to the printed model. Added .stp files to download package. Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: Mini Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0,25 mm Infill: 25% for strength Notes: ABS is the prefered material since the holder most likely will be exposed to heat and maybe direct sunlight in the car. PLA is more heat sensitive and could warp out of shape. Put a brim on the bottom part to keep it from warping. The top frame has a pretty large surface area and should stay in place. The 90° version has two gaps for the cable ties that will need support. The first layer on the bottom piece usually becomes a bit squished out, so you might need to file the edges a bit to get the parts to fit when assembling. You can also file down the small tabs in the top frame's groove if needed. Post-Printing How to mount: To mount the holder in the car you need two self adhesive cable tie mounts and cable ties. Check your local hardware store. Strap the mounts to the holder. Clean the surface where you wish to mount it with some rubbing alcohol and stick the bag holder firmly in place. Put in a plastic bag and secure it with the frame. The holder is shaped so that it can move 90° up and down and be folded away and this also "seals" the opening of the plastic bag.
