In Memory of John McCain

In Memory of John McCain

thingiverse

A man deserving of the highest respect, John McCain was a hero of America and a patriot in every sense of the word. He was nearly killed in the USS Forestal Fire of 1967. Flying on a mission over Hanoi, his A-4 Skyhawk was shot through the wing, and he was captured by the North Vietnamese and tortured for several years. Although given the chance to be set free before other POWS, he stood fast, barely surviving harsher and harsher torture, refusing to be set free unless those captured before him were let go first. After a harsh military career, he entered politics, becoming a senator from Arizona, and running for president twice. Although he never made it to the highest office in the land, he continued to serve his country with honor. To add to his amazing list of accomplishments, he adopted several children too. Unfortunately, in 2017, he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer, he fought both political battles and internal ones. He battled through the pain fought to give all Americans healthcare. Alas on this day, John McCain passes on. A man not bound by political party but by morals, truly an American hero.
