Indestructible Yetti Handle
thingiverse
Ha, indestructible is my claim, and I'm not backing down. Yes, if you try hard enough to break me, you might just succeed. Still, this handle has gone through four weeks of non-stop abuse at a steel shop and emerged unscathed. It's also the fourth version, and the only one that's made it out alive. Print Settings: Rafts: Doesn't matter - it won't make a difference either way. Supports: Yes, it's a must-have in this case. Resolution: 0.3mm - the highest resolution possible. Infill: 15-20% with a ring of 100% around the sleeve for added strength. Notes: I apologize for the initial layout of the objects - Fusion360 can be a bit finicky sometimes. To get the best results, print the sleeve on top and give it an extra boost of strength by changing the infill to 100% for 2mm, while keeping it at 15% for the rest. This is easily done in Simplify3D using multiple processes - just try it out! I'm not sure how to do it in Cura or Slic3r, though. When printing the handle, make sure to print it on its side. Printing it on its back will create a weak spot in the curve of the handle. You'll need supports for this part - don't skip them!
