Fish, crab (seafood) cake processing machine. This processing machine produces six (4oz) fish, crab (or any seafood) patties per second. Most of these types of machines use a drum and wire to produce the extruded patties. We decided to try reciprocating stainless steel blades that when both pistons are engaged open to allow product to be forced through before closing and snipping the product (like a cigar cutter) to be whisked away on the conveyor below. The product then passes under a tamping roll that flattens the (ice cream looking) tail created as the blades close. This machine produces nearly 5,400 lbs/hr. The blades are made of 0.018" thick 316L ss on teflon guides. The pistons have 1" travel.
