A fully 3D printed infinity cube with the option to place a logo on a post to repeat forever.

Plenty of tutorials for these online for making them from timber, but not many where the frame can be 3D printed for maximum convenience.

A full guide to assembly and wiring/programming the neopixels in Arduino can be found here: https://youtu.be/O66MMnKqNQ0

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

i3 MK3

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2

Infill:

10%

Filament: X3D PLA white and black

Notes:

4 x posts and 2 x end pieces, one of each for the rest.
No support needed. Only chance you'll need a raft is the four posts.
Post-Printing

Full assembly in the video. You may wish to clean up the holes in the end and cap pieces with a 3mm drill bit, and a 2.5mm drill bit for the posts and inner electronics housing holes.

8 x M3 x >=20mm plus 4 x M3 x 16mm bolts are needed for assembly.

Six 2 way mirror tiles are required. They should be squares with an edge length of 100 - 102 mm. Thickness should be 3mm or 1/8 inch.

I needed two 23 LED Neopixel strips to correctly match the inner circumference of the end pieces. Please trial and cut the correct amount for you depending on your LED strip.

How I Designed This

Category: Electronics
