My latest project. complete design of my own DLG glider from scratch. Moulds are milled from MDF board and polished. Cores are made from 70psi foam on my CNC machine. First piece is little heavy - 285g but it flies. Next pieces will have around 250g . Layup of fuselage from outside: spread tow IMS 60gsm, unidirectional carbon 80gsm + local reinforcements + carbon rovings, spread tow 60gsm. Tip of fuselage is made from kevlar fabric (4 times 60gsm)Wing was made from 45/45 carbon fabric+ 25g glass fabric + paint+ 70psi solid foam core. Tail surfaces are made from foam core + 25gsm glas/carbon homemade disser cloth.
