InMoov finger prosthetic project

thingiverse

Since InMoov hand has been released on Thingiverse, I receive demands on how to use it as a prosthetic. Lately a french FabLab asked me if they could use InMoov for their project. I knew the initial design was not adapted for that matter and I think it could be better done if I kept the prosthetic perspective in mind. So this research can be used for the Bionico Prosthetic project or any other prosthetic project as long as it is not with commercial uses. The goal is to keep all motors within the palm and to create mechanicaly actuated fingers. You can follow InMoov Robot project here:http://inmoov.blogspot.com You can follow more:http://www.inmoov.fr/inmoov2-hand-progress/ Instructions This finger has two types of motors, make sure to download the correct casing and FingerWorm for your purpose. This is meant to be assembled using a servo motor Corona DS238HV or a DC brushless motor with planetary reduction 154:1 from Pololu. The motor used:http://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/1109 The driver usedhttp://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/2130 With the servo Corona DS238HV use these files: -FingerWormV1.stl -ServoHolderV2.stl -PhalangeV6.stl -ActuatorsV3.stl With the planetary gear motor use these files: -FingerWormV2.stl -MotorHolderV3mid.stl -MotorHolderV3top.stl -PhalangeV6.stl -ActuatorsV3.stl Update 18/07/13 PhalangeV1 is now PhalangeV2. Update 20/07/13 PhalangeV2 to PhalangeV3. Update 23/07/13 PhalangeV3 to PhalangeV4, ActuatorV1 to ActuatorV2 Update 24/07/13 PhalangeV4 to PhalangeV5 Update 25/07/13 ServoHolderV1 to ServoHolderV2 to get more flex on the finger Update 13/08/13 PhalangeV5 to PhalangeV6 for even better flex. Added MotorHolderV3mid and MotorHolderV3mid for the planetary gear motor.. Added FingerWormV2 for the planetary gear motor. There is no instructions yet, as this is a work in progress.
