InMoov Stronger Bicep Frame
thingiverse
This derivative enhances the bicep frame by incorporating several features: Frame elements are now 10mm wide to ensure compatibility with existing components not replaced here. The frame elements can be securely fastened into RotMit using screws (it's recommended to use #8 or #6). Recesses have been added to the thicker frame to allow all existing pieces to fit without modification, including covers. The servo holder and horn have been redesigned for a snug fit. Servo wiring is now routed downward and out the back of the bicep. Fillets are present throughout the design to ensure a smooth finish. Care was taken to guarantee that all remaining bicep parts still fit perfectly, with the exception of the components posted here. This derivative replaces equivalent parts from the original bicep design. Updates: 2016-03-06 ArmSideV4 and ArmSideHighV4 had their recess for the topcover slightly adjusted to ensure a secure fit. All components now snap together seamlessly. 2016-03-03: ArmHighV3 and ArmLowV3 introduced armhigh and armlow variants for normal-sized printers. ArmSideV3 made minor changes to armside, adjusting the front cover attachment point. ReinforcerV3 was modified to reduce interference with RotMit. ServoHolderV3 now routes cable out the back of the servoholder; an opening was added to the bottom to avoid resoldering the pot when removing the servo. 2016-02-29: Final files were uploaded, and everything fits very well. The recesses for the front topcover are still under verification; however, all other components fit perfectly. Print Settings: Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 250 microns Infill: 25% Notes: These pieces undergo significant stress, so it's recommended to use the following settings: 6-8 perimeters, 2mm skin thickness, and 25% infill.
