Insect Screen Door Cat Flap

This is a cat flap with a very low footprint and low weight, desgined to be screwed onto a insect screen door. Video: https://youtu.be/JeOhucPyz0o You will also need 11x Bolts DIN912 - M2.5x4 e.g. from [schraubenhandel24.de](https://www.schraubenhandel24.de/din-912-zylinderschrauben-stahl-12-9-m2-5x4-100st/) 11x Nuts DIN934 - M2.5 e.g. from [schraubenhandel24.de](https://www.schraubenhandel24.de/din-934-6kt-muttern-edelstahl-a2-m2-5-500st/) 2x Neodymium Disc Magnets D=5mm, L=5mm e.g. from [supermagnete.de](https://www.supermagnete.de/scheibenmagnete-neodym/scheibenmagnet-durchmesser-5mm-hoehe-5mm-neodym-n45-vernickelt_S-05-05-N) First glue the nuts into the slots using a proper adhesive (I used UHU HART) and let them dry. Use a piece of filament or a steel rod with 1.75 - 2 mm and mount the flap door. I used a different material type than the print was made of, hoping to reduce grinding. You can also place some small discs of PTFE between the frame and the flap door to keep the door centered. Then place the pieces on your insect screen and screw the bolts through the net. Do not forget to put the disc magnet into place. I didnt glue it, so it will make a rattle noise when the cat enters or leaves. I glued the two parts and the net together, so removing isnt that easy anymore. Do not tighten the bolts too much, as there will not be too much stress at all. Then, if you are absolutely sure that it will fit perfectly, use a sharp knife to cut the insect screen away. I additionally put some glue around the bolts on the unsupported corner before to reduce stress on the net there. As the last step, put some glue into the place for the flap door magnet and insert the magnet the right direction ;) Maybe it doesn't fit for your insect screen door, for this case I added the OnShape link. Just copy the design and modify it according to your needs. WARNING: No warranty that it will last forever or it will fit your needs. I had to replace the net anyway because cats scratched a hole into it. So it was no hard decision for me to cut a hole into the net.
