Insulin syringe holder

Insulin syringe holder

thingiverse

It's an insulin syringe holder to help one to make an insulin injection easier - to prevent the needle from coming too deep under the skin... NOTE: the photos with a syringe are only for illustration purposes, it's an elder model, that has restrainer position misaligned, so the needle looks to stand out too much. The actual model doesn't have that mistake, but I didn't have a syringe to make a new photo. The photo without a syringe is a right one. One of my friends, who suffer from diabetes, asked me to make a holder for a insulin syringe for making an injections easier using one hand to hold it and inject insulin. It should allow the needle to go about 6 mm (0.24 inches) under the skin and prevent it from going futher. After few attempts I managed to make it the way he said it is about to be perfect for using it. That's the model. There are two different options how to print it: 1) The file named Syringe2S.STL is the way I printed it - turned by 45 degrees to make it more precise. Model already have necessary supports; 2) File Syringe2N.STL is aligned more "classically". It doesn't need to have supports for proper printing. Both files have passed through Microsoft Repair Service and are ready to print. Again: the model shown on the photos with a syringe is an obsolete with improper lenght.
