Intel NUC 5th Gen Router Case and Bottom

thingiverse

A Intel NUC 5th Gen project that I've been working for for about 8+ months and I'm continuing to develop and roll out. I started by finding a lot of Intel NUC 5th gen with Pentium/i3 processors, IoT or Server/Board-Only on eBay for about $28-45 each, found some M.2 to ethernet adapters (realtek based). I/O Crest seems to have the best compatible ones, other brands are hit and miss. After that, I started to design a printed case that was similar to the OG cases from some of the SCAD files and some hand modeling. My CAD work needs some skills and I'm too lazy to get a license for Fusion, looking maybe at some other CAD software to improve the designs, but hey, just goes to show with enough time, you can do a lot in Microsoft 3D Builder, but that was a sad amount of time spent on it when I could have done better with some other CAD software. Anywho! Got some working designs, thought I'd share with the community. If you have an Intel NUC already, you can just print the bottom and use that instead of the entire case, I just model all of the case materials because I had board-only setups at the time.
