These are fantastic SAS expanders that can be found on eBay for a great price. You can power them by either putting them into a PCI-E slot, or you can power them with the Molex connector next to the heatsink. Since the server I was constructing did not have any spare/extra PCI-E slots that could be used for powering the SAS expander, I needed a solution to mount it elsewhere. Printed with a 10% infill at .25mm and it's very sturdy. The SAS expander is held 4mm above the plate itself, which appears to provide adequate clearance for all of the components on the underside. You'll need to drill the screw holes and centering divots are provided; I used a 7/64" (2.78mm) drill bit and found this was perfect for using regular computer case screws for attaching the SAS expander to the plate, and for 3mm SHCS into the case.
