Interference 4 Point

Interference 4 Point

thingiverse

This is an .STL model created from an image generated by a digital ripple tank simulator software. Four oscillators emit waves from all four sides of the model at the same frequency. Many other wave interference patterns can be easily produced using free online tools, particularly https://www.falstad.com/ripple/, which is far more convenient than working with an actual ripple tank. The image was transformed using Simplify3D's "Picture" add-on, which comes with the program and allows users to convert images into 3D models. This process takes a .jpg or similar file as input and produces an .STL output based on color threshold values. When using black-and-white images, users can map dark areas to higher or lower values on the surface map, depending on their preference.
