Growing up in the Cold War era in a military household I got regular exposure to all kinds of military books on equipment, tactics, etc. I always seemed to love Soviet Armor. As I got older I noticed the distinct resemblance of Warhammer 40k's Imperial Guard to the Soviet Russian Army. The idea was born - Make a Guards Motor Rifle conversion showcasing Soviet arms, armor and equipment in a way that pays homage to both 40k and the Cold War. This model is part of that conversion.
