For smoke extraction ducts only the insulation slabs can be fitted to either the outside or inside of the system. When used internally, the insulation installed should be foil faced and foil should face the fire exposure. Two ways to fix the insulation on to the system. The pictures shows how we can fix the insulation by 100 x 200 mm steel mesh and M 5.5 self drilling, tapping screws and washer 50 mm dia.
