Inventor Flashforge Dreamer metal hot end temperature 260 °C 280 °C

Some 3D printer firmware (CTC, Flashforge Inventor, Creator, Dreamer) will limit extruder printing temperature to 248 °C. How to deal with it? <h1>Change firmware or change hardware!</h1> <h2>To change firmware:</h2> Backdated firmware "dreamer_2.4.20160603" will allow to print with upto 280 °C. "For installing the “dreamer_2.4.20160603” firmware there are two options: I. Temporarily downgrade Flashprint to 3.12. It has the option to install the 2.4.20160603 firmware. After the firmware installation you can upgrade Flashprint back to the most current revision. II. Remove the internal SD card from the Flashforge Dreamer. The bottom of the printer has to be removed for this option, which is quite easy to do. Place the micro SD card in your pc using an adapter and replace the existing dreamer.bin under the subdirectory “sys” with this version: dreamer.bin. The Flashforge printer use Type K Thermocouple - thermoelectric voltage as a function of temperature. By adding 33 ohm resistor in parallel we trick system by -10 °C, so system will show 248 °C but in reality the temperature is 258 °C. Use a little switch to turn it on/ off so you can check temperature while printing. Both methods work, my preferences is to change hardware. Now i can print: PC Polycarbonate EXTRUDER TEMP 290±20 °C; Nylon X Polyamide With Chopped Carbon Fiber EXTRUDER TEMP 260±10 °C; ASA Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate EXTRUDER TEMP 250±10 °C
