I designed this adapter to mount my iOptron SmartEQ Pro+ to my Skywatcher AZ-GTi tripod. The Skywatcher tripod includes a pier that will prevent my AT60ED with ZWO camera from hitting the tripod legs, and the Skywatcher tripod is far superior to the iOptron SmartEQ tripod. This allows the SmartEQ head to be mounted in a much more stable fashion for astrophotography.
