I made this for my son who is pursuing his private pilot's license. It is designed to strap to your thigh and holds an iPad Mini 6, allowing it to tilt to several positions.

Assembly Notes:

For ease of printing, the frame is in two parts that can be glued and/or screwed together back-to-back. The bottom and crossbar attach to the frame backplate using M3 screws, with space for nylon washers in between for easy movement. The bottom has slots for a 1.75" elastic strap; the slots have supports designed in, which will need to be trimmed out with a knife or flush cutters.

The ‘hybrid’ crossbar is designed to take a 3mm tube or rod, to sit in the grooves in the bottom. I've provided a quick-and-dirty fully-printable crossbar, but I haven't tried it yet as it will need supports to print…that will be an area for improvement. Also in future, I may add a backplate for the bottom that is curved to better fit one's leg.
