Mount any 67mm camera lens filter to your iPhone.

It's precisely measured to fit an iPhone 12 (Pro), without a case.

I'm using it with a ND2-ND400 (9 Stops) Filter from K&F for filming.

Advantages over commercial products I found:

All three lenses can be used, as it covers the whole camera interface.

No vignetting at the edges, as it's designed to be slim.

No stray light let through from the back, as it fits (almost) flush with the phone surface.

Face ID still works, as it doesn't cover the iPhone notch.

No significant interface parts are covered (in FiLMiC Pro), as the clamp doesn't reach very far into the screen.

Optional dust lid covers the back when not mounted on phone. Use a lens cap to cover the filter from the front.

Why only for iPhone 12 (Pro)?

My first prototype was a model designed for any smartphone. It had a clamp coming from the top (similar to the mount by Moment). It worked, but when turning my variable ND filter, the mount moved significantly. When tightening the screw further, the plastic clamp bent a lot, making it even more unstable.

That's why I decided to design the mount with a very precise fit to my phone. Reducing the clearance of the camera cover and clamp made it more stable. Additionally, the corner bracket in this design provides much more structural strength, being less prone to bending when fastening the screw. I was actually surprised how strong it turned out.

Printing & Assembling

I printed the parts with PLA with 0.15mm layer height, 4 perimeters and 100% infill, no supports.

The threads are scaled to fit already. The clamp needs to be glued into the fitted inlet. In my (non-scientific) stress tests, the weak spot was the layer adhesion, not the glued connection.
