Iphone 5 Case and Cradle Arm

A secure place to clip your iPhone5, in a vehicle or on a desk! Snap fit case which snap fits into the positionable cradle arm. Grooves along the edge of the case provide a firm grip in your hand, and in the cradle. Perfect for Facetime! Now you can place your phone for handsfree video chat! Instructions I printed all the components at 25% infill, No Support required. I have included three kinds of feet for the arm. "Bracket Foot" is just a small flat base. "Bracket Foot Screw Flange" has a wide base with sunken holes for use with screws. "Bracket Foot Wide Flange" is a large wide foot, designed to stand on a desk or be fixed to a larger surface. Print out: "Slim Case with Grooves" "Case Mount" "Upper Bracket" "Lower Bracket" and choose one of the three feet: "Bracket Foot" "Bracket Foot Screw Flange" "Bracket Foot Wide Flange" Get a couple of machine screws and hardware like washers and nuts. I just used some I had laying around, I think they are 4mm x 30mm Socket cap screws. But whatever you have laying around will work. I happen to have some small threaded dowel pins, and they make it easy to tighten down the joints. Drill out the holes to ensure a smooth fit with your screws. Use some acetone or super glue to attach the "Upper Bracket" to the Back of the "Case Mount". If you assemble the rest of the arm before you glue it, it provides a nicer visual reference to ensure you are perfectly aligned. Also to aid in positioning, use a tiny piece of double sided tape to temporarily position it where you like and lightly trace it with pencil. Remove the tape and glue in place. Use an exacto knife to clean around the power button in the case. If you notice the button is hard to press, remove your phone and LIGHTLY wiggle the button to pre-stress it. Possible uses: Desktop Cradle Vehicle Mount In my car I have a recessed area ahead of the shifter knob. This has been designed to be mounted to the front surface of that area. And allow the phone to sit in a nice position just above my shifter. This could be used on a dashboard also. But for that I would be sure to choose an adhesive that can be removed without damaging the dash finish. Possible enhancements would be rotateable joints and more pieces.
