Iphone 5 Charging Stand

This phone stand was created for an iPhone 5. It has a convenient hole for the charging cable to go through. It also has a hole for the earphone jack and a hole for the camera. This ties into the #MakerEdChallenge2 because I made this as part of an engineering project in my school. I have enjoyed creating things that can be used to help with other things. I finally bought a 3d printer for myself when I started the engineering class. NOTE: -For use with all IPhone 5 editions -The stand shown in the pictures has since been updated for a better fit. Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Infill: 20% Post-Printing Your Printer should be able to print it in the orientation already set. You may also need a raft depending on your printer. How I Designed This The assignment our teacher gave us was to create an object we could use every day. When I would charge my phone it would look messy so this seemed like a good solution that looked good. Prodject: Iphone 5 Charge Station To complete the #MakerEdChallenge2 it is necessary to have calipers that will help with getting specific measurements. For a teacher to complete a modeling portion of an engineering class it may take 2-3 weeks depending on student skill level and the complexity of the design. You will need to have some understanding of 3d modeling and basic math skills to make the stand. Any school with a 3d printer can do this because it encourages the students to build something that they could use and take home. To know that they actually made it makes having something like this more special.
