iPhone 6 RBS Train Seat Backrest Clip

iPhone 6 RBS Train Seat Backrest Clip

thingiverse

I have a 40 minute train ride to commute to work every day and I wanted a way to mount my iPhone 6 to the backrest of the seat in front of me so I could watch stuff without having to hold the phone. So I created a holder that clips on the phone and slides in the little gap between the frame and the cushion in the backrest of the seat in front of me. This is customized for my own phone with a thin 0.3mm case - so I added 1mm to the width - and the backrest of an RBS train in Bern, Switzerland. It is therefore obviously a very specific design. I figured I'll upload it anyways, maybe someone can get some use out of it or adjust it for their own use. The design is heavily inspired by the iPhone hook for airplanes by jgrout (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8214), but I - or more specifically my significant other with actual 3d design skills - redesigned it from scratch for my specific use. UPDATE Added a slightly shorter version for an iPhone 6 without any cover/case
