iPhone and Apple Watch Flat Charging Station

My second concept for the Carus iPhone and Apple Watch competition. This concept utilizes a flat base to rest the iPhone 5, 6 or 6 Plus on to charge; and a pedestal to rest the Apple Watch on to charge. The design is very simply the flat base is machined from a solid block of aluminum to the final dimensions and hollowed out in the rear for electronics, such as the control board and the USB port on the side. There is also a large thru hole and two smaller thru holes. These are used to attach the pedestal to the base. The pedestal is also machined from a solid aluminum block to maintain Carus design. It has a thru hole to allow wires to be fed to the Apple Watch charger as well as the LED light strips on the side of the pedestal. These LED strips can be used as reading light or to indicate charge of the various devices. The overall assembly is very simple and aesthetically pleasing, please feel free to leave comments. -Thanks, Jeff
