This is an iPhone charging station I made for my iPhone 5c. Instructions The phone sits in the slot sideways. The length is 3.2" and the inside width is 0.47". If your iPhone has a thick case it probably won't fit. The square for the charger plug is 1.01" across and 1.03" high. This makes a VERY tight fit. You have to work a little bit to get it started but then you can pop it all the way in.
