This excellent stable camera platform is ideal for allround use and stable shots. In tripot configuration it is perfectly suitable for bumpy cars etc... It is also possible to change your tripod configuration into a single hand held device. I have created this gyroscopical camera holder for making movies at school and our next big school project. In our class they are amazed about how these simple physics keep a camera so stable. I hope many people will enjoy my design. My results have been very good so far. Because it is an reliable and straight forward design my classmates get allong very well with it. My classmates have also been using it and if my printer feels like giving me a descent result I will make another one. And that one i'll give permanently to my school for future projects and next generations of students. Audiences: I am 17years old and a student doing architecture and design. But due to the simple and straight foreward design it can be given to children like my little sisters (who are 9). and get quite good results to. (they see it more as a toy and run around with it but that is why I made it so rugged) --) so it is sister proof. Preparation: We didn't have a lot of options before my gyro but a classmate took a long stick and put his camera on the end of it with some tape. But is was quite dangerous for the camera and so our teacher told us to stop with it. Steps: 1) download and print part one of the gyro everything is quite straight foreward and schould be no problem to assemble (note). the long straw with a diameter off 1mm has to be sanded down to fit in . the tiny holes that allow you to pivot the gyro. also sand down the rest . of the joints to get a minimal desired friction between them. 2) download and print part two of the gyro the big cilinder is a grip to put on the gyro itself. (turning it into a hand held . device) the long tube is the axle to put trough the middle of the gyro (note). DO NOT GLUE this part down IF you want an shock absorber the remaining parts are a shock absorber put it over the main axle and put a . cople of springs in the case glue the case together and the top lid to the . main axle have fun Results: I realy hope some clever minds will update and improve this general design Tags: #MakerEdChallenge , #ArtProject , #DesignProject , #EngineeringProject
