IR LED Raspberry Pi Camera Mount

IR LED Raspberry Pi Camera Mount

thingiverse

This is a mount that holds a Raspberry Pi camera module as well as 3x 5mm LEDs and a transistor to switch them on and off. Mine is running 3 IR LEDs off of the 5v from the Raspberry Pi (Picture included of the illuminated print bed). You could use other LEDs, perhaps white ones off 3.3v, but you'd probably want something brighter than just 3 of them. Included in this pack is a simple ball joint where the female part prints flat. It snaps onto a 20mm ball (included). Also there's some 10mm spacers for this if you don't have short enough hardware, scale them to whatever length you need. The mount takes either 3mm or 4mm hardware, print whichever you need. You'll need to trim the sockets a bit to get the 5mm LEDs in there. Should fit very tight. The transistor you may want to super glue to hold it in place while you wire it all up.
