I needed some way to monitor the actual speed of my DC CNC spindle, so I made this tachometer. It has a contactless reflective IR sensor. Simply glue a piece of reflective aluminum foil on your spindle's fan to make the sensor work. https://youtu.be/Nwz5lS-U4uI
