IR Tracking Headset Clip Beta

This is a clip and simple mount for a FreeTrack Project based headset clip. The Clip is designed around 5mm cubed IR LEDs I've sourced from used equipment. I see no reason normal IR LEDs could not be used though. Wire channels of 1mm depth are part of the design along with a relatively large central mounting point for alternative mounting methods and wiring. Instructions Print at least the Clip Model Check Free-Track.net for simple assembly instructions and information on what LEDs to use plus more detailed wiring information. I created the mount with a flat placement in mind and without through holes since I prefer to drill holes rather than let the printer make imperfect ones. It uses a M3 nut with a M3 x 8mm screw and washer for the swivel. The block is 24 x 25mm if you wish to make a different style block more suitible for your headset. Note: I also use the 5 volts from a mini usb cable as you see in the completed image. This is neither ideal nor generally safe for the computer. I personally think I'll be ok but be Warned!
