ISCG-05 Bike Bash Guard / Chain Guide

UPDATE 04.22.2023: V2 bash guard added to the files. I broke one and made the mounts slightly thicker. I also started to print it out of PC blend. ISCG-05 3D printed / titanium Bash guard & Chain guide. You can use whatever material you'd like for the plate but I chose titanium. Plate thickness must be .187" (4.75mm) +/- to be flush with the replaceable bash guard without modification. This guide/guard will fit a maximum 32 oval or 34 circle chainring. You can go any size below that if you want. What you need: - Laser/plasma cut metal plate (I used Sendcutsend and .187" grade 5 titanium, ~$38) - Low profile binding barrel and screw (https://www.mcmaster.com/99024A327/, ~$14) - Narrow Fillister Head slotted screw (https://www.mcmaster.com/91794A196/, ~$11) - Stainless steel button head screw (https://www.mcmaster.com/94500A315/, ~$11) Printing: - For both the chain guide and the bash guard, the current STL orientation is the best. - Use supports on the bash guard portion. - 100% infill with at least 5 perimeters - I used PETG for both, ABS, ASA, PC, or Nylon should all work as well. Assembly: - Once you have your plate cut out and parts printed, use two binding barrels and screws to attach the bash guard to the metal plate. It will be a tight fit. - Take a female binding barrel and one of the narrow fillister head-slotted screws to attach the chain guide. Loosen the screw to adjust the height of the chain guide. - Attach to the ISCG-05 mounts on your bike using the SS button head bolts. - I recommend a medium-strength Loctite on all the threads but the button heads, use grease for these. - you may need a spacer behind the plate to get the correct alignment; plastic washers work. If you break a bash guard just print a new one. I broke one weaker version and modified the bash guard to what it currently is. Total cost: ~$74 (When I made my own), still cheaper than any other nice bash guard/chain guide. If you can find the hardware as individual pieces, you can significantly reduce the price. Someone, please make a brass one, bonus points if you polish it.
