I made this simple italian carabiners starting from the chain designed by jomarfe7 (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2840345) My grandparent told me that italian carabiners were widely used in the past as a useful way to join and split chains, climbing with ropes and many other tasks at sea. They were easily made by users themselves with the help of a rasp or file. Nowadays, they have been replaced by modern tools and new materials. I bring this to you as a tribute to past times. To join them apply two pieces in a perpendicular position as shown in the picture. To split proceed to the contrary. Thank you.
