I built the Itty Bitty Dual Extruder by clough42. It's a great extruder. It uses a NEMA-14 stepper motor. Someone asked if a NEMA-17 version was available and there isn't one. I've modified the Itty Bitty main body to accommodate NEMA-17 steppers. This is an initial prototype and I didn't have a lot of time to put into it, but, if you want to try it, here it is. I found that I needed to run a long piece of 1/8" all-thread in and out of the filament paths to polish them and make them work well. You'll likely need to do that to this model. I kept the shaft distances exactly the same so the same belt will work. The clearance between the motor and the large gear is small but I'm pretty sure it will clear by a few mm. If it doesn't work well, don't blame 'clough42' as I'm responsible for this modification. So, use at your own risk but do post if it works for you. Instructions This model is a modification of 'clough42's" awesome dual extruder design. The mods were done in 3ds Max. I added another version. One user reported that the heat from his stepper motors warped the attachment arms. This second version will help that. But, the best thing to do is tweak your stepper pot so that it doesn't run too hot.
