Japanese Lantern Christmas Ornament

Ornament inspired from a japanese garden lantern or "Ishidoro". It is designed so that the top and bottom snap together around a standard mini light. No support needed. Please see instructions.... Instructions Print both pieces. The bottom looks great at .25mm layer height, but the top has shallow slopes and looks better at .15mm or less. Depending on your printer setup you may have to scrape off excess plastic from smushed first layers or the top may not snap on well. The top loop is large enough to be slid directly onto a small branch, or you can use a hook. Don't end up with melted plastic! Use only with low wattage miniature lights! Most chistmas bulbs (especially LED) don't put out much heat but use common sense and caution.
