JDM to NA License Plate Adapter

JDM to NA License Plate Adapter

Japanese ("JDM") license plates have slightly different dimensions and hole spacing than North American (US/Canada) plates. This adapter installs onto the original plate mounting locations on a JDM vehicle and allows installation of an NA plate. NA plate is offset downward by 6mm as well to compensate for the height difference to allow use of lower retainers if equipped (as pictured) while still allowing the adapter to remain hidden behind the installed plate. JDM holes are sized for 6mm machine screws, NA plate holes have threads modeled in for 5mm x .8 machine screws. You should be able to get the holes to work for the 5mm screws as modeled and allow the screw to clean up the printed threads, but I ran a tap through to clean mine up just because I had one on hand. Pictured bracket was printed in ABS and received a quickie black spray job because I didn't have any black filament on hand, but other than the paint and aforementioned thread cleanup it bolted right up, front and rear.
