Jedi Holocron Gift & Jewellery Box

Jedi Holocron Gift & Jewellery Box

This is the first design I've made (so far) which combines both STL resin printing and FDM printing, and is one for the Star Wars fans out there (I mean the fans of the REAL Star Wars, not the vile works of Abrams the Defiler). I've wanted to make this one for a while but I could never work out to give it the crystal finish I thought I needed.... and then got the Elegoo Mars! (Seriously, get one. Really really get one. Go on, MMF sell them and it's really worth it I promise!) I've uploaded the files to make this with and without the resin panels (but it looks better with the resin!). Yes, it takes a while to assemble with the resin panels; I recommend putting a thin layer of transparent resin in each hollow on the sides and push them down to push the air out from under them (but if you don't get it all it's not that bad, it still looks crystalline). Then cure the panels before assembling the sides, then putting the sides together to form the final cube. Yes you can glue all the sides on so it's just a cube, but I leave one open to make a nice Star Wars box! Yes it's a bugger to assemble and takes ages to print... but if you're a Star Wars fan you want one. Don't you. Yes you do. If you can't be bothered with printing it yourself you can order one fully assembled from my Etsy store - www.etsy.com/uk/shop/enterprisexddesign
