jerk action swim bait. made with glow pla in picture. because lets face it $18 for a glow in the dark fishing lure from the tackle shop is a bit much. plus this is more fun. edit: after testing this and talking to some fishermen that are a little more experienced they suggested printing it in black. the reasoning being that striped bass hit prey from below and what they see is a shadow of the prey. even against the dark sky at night. so when we look down at the water we see black against black but the fish looking up see black against a lighter background. oddly enough because this is a surface jerk bait the glow coming off it can match the background making it almost invisible to the fish below. so long story short make it black, at least on the bottom half. if possible use PLA over ABS for the filament. pla will biodegrade if left in the elements. with that in mind it is a good idea to give the lure a wash in clean fresh water and a good shake out. store dry, relatively cool and away from soft plastic lures. retrieve with a slow erratic jerking action. stay tuned for future versions with improved action, deeper diving, and rattles! This thing was made with Tinkercad.
