This fits fits the following SAE dial indicator: ["Triton 1" Dial Indicator 0.001" Graduation Travel Lug Back White Face"]( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016R3GLB0/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_ZBa9Db5RQ0ZJ2) on Amazon. I refitted this for the A3S (without the SD card slot in front), which is mostly the same as the A5 mechanically (it is not the A3S v2, which has a SD card slot in front and is more like the A5S). If you have trouble fitting it on the A5, let me know. If you use the blend files, use the supports from the "rotated" file which has improved supports. The you can load the 3mf in Cura as a project to get faster supports, but the file does not have the improved supports yet (it may stick too well or not enough due to edges being shared between the model and the supports, but you can still cut them off). ## How to Use The original version and this version place the tip of the dial indicator 51mm behind the nozzle, so you must use custom G-Code that uses level positions offset by 51 on the Y axis in order to to manual bed leveling. To do mesh bed leveling, you'll have to use the [software method](https://jgaurorawiki.com/a5/mesh-bed-levelling-routine) using Pronterface instead of the panel, so you can manually change the location by that amount. I have not tried it yet. - You should fasten the mount tightly with a rubber band or velcro strap. That will force it into where it touches (my version has a stopper) for maximum accuracy. - If the pin comes off of the back of the bed, make sure you pull it in manually before moving the hotend assembly forward to prevent the pin from being pushed sideways and prevent damage. The following model may be safer in this way (and more stable since it hooks around the front): - [Dial gauge holder for JGaurora A5 + Messuhr Halter für JGaurora A5](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3307234) by arpanet1 (hooks around front AND dial indicator faces you!) ## Differences from DIY3DTech's CR-10 version (The measurements of the original are based on the flat sides of the "circles" so holes don't end up too small) - added hardware (bolt and nut don't seem to fit each other; try the collection below instead--The bolt worked with a metal nut after some cleaning and carefully forcing it on very straight to prevent cross-threading). - changed divot (for raised part of dial indicator) from 17.98 to 20.7 (scaled by 1.15127919911012235818) - decreased gap to 5.4 (was 6.705) to match the dial indicator (added 1.305mm spacer, with odd shape for printing without supports) - changed hole to 6.53mm (was 7.41332; scale by 0.88084690799803596769) to match dial indicator, and made special bolt to act as a pin for a tight fit - The hole is now 7mm (was 7.64101) from the edge to match the one in the dial indicator. - added indendation for socket (for a socket wrench) for tightening a bolt. - changed top part to fit a 34.3mm wide cooler chassis (was 33.705) - changed the bottom hook to only grasp the bottom of the metal chassis of the cooler (changed inner height to 63.1 formerly 67.705) ## License - CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 ([Creative Commons - Attribution - Non-Commercial - Share Alike](http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/)) - by Poikilos and DIY3DTech - based on [JG AURORA A5 Dial Indicator Mount for Bed Tramming!](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2761648) by [DIY3DTech](https://www.thingiverse.com/DIY3DTech) Jan 18, 2018
