JGAURORA A5/A5S Spool Holder

thingiverse

The spool holder that comes with the JGAURORA A5/A5S is trash. Decided to make my own that would be reliable, out of the way, safe, and look cool. Also, the bearings used are commonly found skateboard bearings (608). # Prints * Arms: Print 2 of these, with supports * Backplate: Print 1 of these, will be ready to use immediately * Spool axle: Print 1 of these, supports unnecessary (if so, only for areas touching the bed, the inside is hollow) * Bearing holders: Print 2 of these, supports unnecessary The one I printed has 2mm walls, infill @ 25% using Gyroid. I'm sure you can reduce or increase infill with no difference at the end of the day. # Assembly ### Axle 1. Press the bearing holders into the sides of the axle 2. Press in the skateboard bearings (608) on to the bearing holders. 3. Slide the axle assembly through your spool ### Mount 1. Using the existing screws, mount the backplate to the printer 2. Slide the arms into the slots 3. Place spool with axle assemble into the slots at the end of the arms # Notes * The bearings don't go all the way to the bottom of the slot - this is intentional and allows for a more snug fit. * Spool holder (the round part) might be snug on the spool. #Thanks!
